Hello, I am glad you stopped by to visit. When I work with oils and mixed media there is a sense of fragmentation of the paint. There is a continuous destroying and recreating process with a shared familiarity of life and art. My intent is to share the conflicting uncertainties of life through these techniques. There are several layers to life and there are many layers in my paintings seen through the textures and transparency. The bold colors are a cultural influence and inspiration is drawn from the colors of Mexico, Tibet and India, folk art, patterns, and markets. My desire is to create a visible story defined by the viewer in which they experience something that is both different and the same in their life.
